wow, they've got common sense? whippidy! they're also more racist than we are (ask oprah about that one) and the smarmiest people on the planet. i used to hate all french people. now it's just the parisians, whom i've had far too much experience with to write off as flukeworthy. they're rude and brash and piss all over they're countrymen for not being from that stinktown.

Though I hate potatoes, I ALWAYS refer to them as Freedom Fries. 'Course, coming from me its 'irony' but still ;)

That survey sounds flawed. What is the question, "rate your sympathy for Americans on a scale of 1 to 5 with 1 meaning 'no sympathy' and 5 'a lot of sympathy'?" I equate "sympathy" with "feeling sorry for" and I certainly don't feel sorry for the French but that doesn't mean I hate them or anything.
