Things that make me go "ha"...

when your boss tells you that she's pregnant again and is having her baby the same time as last year. (You may recall some of my high-stress posts from the beginning of the year.) Seriously, I am laughing.

So she waited, what, 3 months, and then *!* gets knocked up again? Is the husband in prison?

Ha! She's actually pretty shocked about the whole thing too. "What d'ya mean I'm pregant again?! WE WERE CAREFUL!" Apparently, not that careful, missy! In truth, I’m happy for her. She wanted kids and now she gets to have two.

The REAL reason I’m laughing is because there’s been a huge debacle over our company execs as to how much of a bonus I get for the past two quarters (encompasses some of the time she was gone). Some ludicrous shit was brought up, pretty much forgetting the fact that I had to work alone and many hours during that time. Surveys were conducted -- my clients rated me fairly high, but it was the internal surveys that fucked me over. Apparently, my co-workers feel I’m incompetent. (Gee, are you angry because I call you on the half-ass work you do or the fact that you’re an idiot and have no brains?)

I wish I could say that my bonus amounts consist of thousands of dollars, when in fact all we’re talking about is a measly potential of $375 per quarter. Big f’uckin’ deal! Yet, it became an item for discussion amongst the higher ups. Whatever. Seriously. What.fuckin.ever. I laughed when I heard about this.

Anyway, as soon as the execs find out she’s preggers (she’s making the announcement early next month), they’re gonna flip! She and I sat behind closed doors this morning and giggled like schoolgirls over her news and the expected reactions she’ll get.

This made me laugh just a few minutes ago.

That kid wandering in the wilderness they found after 4 days? From cnn.com: The parents of 11-year-old Cub Scout Brennan Hawkins said today their son "continues to amaze us" after surviving four days alone in the Utah wilderness. They said Brennan was taught to stay on the trail if he ever got lost and also not to talk to strangers, so "when an ATV or horse came by [searching for him] he got off the trail ... when they left, he got back on the trail."

D'oh!

That kid is so dumb/brainwashed, I had to laugh at that.

So how did they finally catch him? I'm picturing: either (a) they sneak up on him, ninja-style, or (b) he just got hungry, and stopped hiding from the ATV/horse/people looking for him. Either way, it's still pretty funny.
