I love it. I love her. Especially the first song. And the tiger story. And the covers. And the new songs. And the old song.

I like it, but I'm a big Neko fan so that figures

what's up with Wayfaring Stranger?...does a choir join her on stage or something?...do the liner notes say?...I've only downloaded it at this point

I think that's the one where she recorded it live and got the audience to participate in the song. Neko's all for the, y'know, democratization and demystification of the recording process, like.

The notes say it's recorded "semi-live"... whatever that means.

Yeh, I just checked. "Wayfaring Stranger" was recorded as part of Neko's presentation at a Toronto media conference last year (aided by 300 audience members singing along in a theater).

Rather, I'd say that she's all for the compromisation of the live recording process, as the entirety of that album was captured in a "semi-live" setting. Songs were done and redone in the same show(s), aborted, restarted and repeated. I know because I was there. I passed at one of them. Twice.

That said, I'll say again that I think this is a great album. Expertly recorded, perfectly selected, and the Sadies sound great behind her.

Yeah, I also like it very much. In fact, I should probably give it another spin on the drive home tonight.

I just bought tix to the Neko + Sadies show here in NY on 2/13.

I am looking forward to it. A buddy of mine that's also going grew up with one of the Sadies and they stay in touch, so I hope we end up drinking with them.
