There's something about Miss Goldfrapp's Black Cherry that I am truly digging. I know, I know old news, but it just started clicking for me. I loved her first album, so this naturally was a little harder to get into. What is this genre anyway, dance electronica? Was this album talked about much when it came out. Some of it sounds like where Garbage should have ended up after no album for so long.

Naturally, a big part has to do with Miss Goldfrapp's voice and, well, her eau de sexy. I saw that Strict Machine video once and that was cool, too.

I think it was popular when it first came out. I guess I'd classify it as a variation of electroclash, but surely there's a new buzzword for it now. Looking forward to hearing the new one when it comes out.

i've only heard "train" off black cherry, and it sounds like electroclash to me.

Bad news: I just heard the new Goldfrapp song "Ooh La La" at Fluxblog and its so terrible it hurts.

My first impression of Black Cherry was that it was terrible, but it ended up growing on me. Is it possible something similar is happening here?

Yuck. I hope the rest of the new album is better than this.
