just be sure they are DIVORCED. i went out a couple of times with a girl who said her divorce was "not finalized" and woke up at her place when i heard the sound of her "not-yet-ex" walking in her house. turns out, they were "working on things". . .crazy bitch.

that said, i've dated several divorcees and things were pretty easy. most of them "got it", they weren't so high strung and worried about marriage (ugh) and were happy to let the relationship develop the right way.

divorced women know what it's like to not have a guy right there all the time trying to do them, so they are more receptive to advances

You never know... a divorced woman might be happy to be single again, and is looking to make up for lost time. It could be a fun experience! Not all divorced women are looking to snag a husband again. I don't have a lot of friends who are divorced with kid(s), but I think what Charli says is good advice-- as long as Mom is keeping the kids separate from the relationship, there should be no problems. When someone is clearly looking for a "baby daddy" though, I'd skip it.

Excellent points. Just have fun dude. If she's one of them crazy then just bolt.

I guess this about kills any chance of a summer romance between Jewels and I. It was a long shot anyway since we're both heterosexual males that live 3000 miles apart.

F4DF provides some fine advice again.

i was recently seeing an older woman who just finalized her divorce two weeks ago. we started getting together while she was still only separated, which was a little odd for me, but it didn't seem to pose any major problems. the weird thing was when her soon-to-be ex came back to town to finalize the divorce and she invited me to their "happy divorce" barbecue with all of their mutual friends that she rarely talks to anymore because they all have kids now.

I guess if I can date two married guys, I don't have a problem dating a divorced guy.

I had a two week stand with this divorced French/Canadian ballerina who was 10 years older than me, i was 22. I thought she was 24, she thought i was 35.

We laughed about it, and then she proceeded to give me the education of a lifetime.
