How does a thread with input on cities with an identity crisis, rednecks and being a general shithole get to five pages without mentioning Baltimore?

I like the city, but mostly because it's such a dump. It's suffers from one of the same problems as Philly, i.e. it's a very old city, and some of it hasn't aged so well.

It can be pretty depressing [Unemployment in ZIP 21223 is in the 40% range; the area by JHU Hospital is a warzone; prostitution and STDs are ridiculous], but it also has it's advantages. Very neighborhood oriented and often interesting. I prefer Baltimore over DC any day, and I live halfway between the two.

kinda divey...good juke and open front when it's nice out? yeah, it used to be Anthony's, then it got bought out by some friends (the guys who own the Ministry of Information in northern liberties) and became Skinner's. Yeah it's the only OC bar i'll go to that isn't the Khyber.
