Just wondering if anyone has stumbled upon a real release date on the supposed NEW album from Portishead we all read about earlier last Spring?

I hadn't heard anything concrete but still have my hopes way way up. And between the Portishead and the fact that Grandaddy is supposedly readying a new release TBA as well, my hopes are actually starting to look up for new releases.

anybody actually know anything on these two releases?

Portishead: work is only "under way", current prognosis is early next year. I think the announcement last spring was that they were "planning on doing it", not that anything had been done yet.

I don't remember which magazine I read it in (one of those British ones like "Hi-Fi News" or "Hi-Fi Choice", that has the "In The Studio" column).

nope. i've just seen articles that say "new album in the works" or "new album near complete" blah blah blah. but no official date.
