I work down the hall from a talent agency and have been hearing little kids practising this line in the hallway for a week now.

Btw, why aren't there as many Pringles flavours available here as there are in the UK?

Actually, I just saw that they're coming out with a jalapeno flavor. I had some original flavor chips with lunch.

My favorite chip : www.poorebrothers.com .

Pringles ain't potato chips, they are potato crisps, which means there ain't no potatoes anywhere near the factory. Yet unlike their cousin in crispdom, Pringles is good eats.

I'll take a sack of irregular funyuns over pringles any day of the week.

<------works next to a dollar store that sells every type of pringles imaginable, has to listen to coworkers chomping on them all day.

How many flavors do we need though? And not just Pringles, but is anyone else put off by too many variations?

For example, unleaded Coca-Cola (I may be missing a few):
Diet Coke
Diet Coke with Splenda
Diet Coke with Lime
Diet Coke with Vanilla
C2
Coca-Cola Zero

Reese's Peanut Butter Cups:
Original
Extra Creamy
Chocolate Lovers
Peanut Butter Lovers
Big Cup
Inside Out
White Chocolate

This shit should make an interesting study in brand loyalty, at the very least. I haven't read any research, but it seems to me that the competiting varieties could possibly create so much dissonance that the consumer will reach for a competitor's simpler selection.

Too many choices can be a bad thing, and I'm curious to see what the breaking point is.

These chips are pretty fucking good.

Utz is pretty good too and I think they make the best pretzel rods I've ever had.

But yeah, Funyuns are probably my favorite too.

I've never heard of those potato chips. Are they east coast products? Maybe I just don't eat enough chips/crisps (thinking that's a good thing!).

kettle chips are boss, esp. the sea salt & vin.

Utz pretzels are beaten only by Snyders of Hanover

I've had Snyders and I like Utz's better. They're crunchier and have more salt.

The only other pretzels I really like are these Bachman's.

MAN! We love those here in Milwaukee. Who knew Sea Salt and Black Pepper could be so good.

When my aunt lived in Bedford near Boston, my wifey and I always made a trip to BREAD & CIRCUS to get a bag to munch on.

Definitely one of our faves during movies etc.

We even brought back two bags to the family back home, and man, you should see what a pressurized airplane cabin does to a bag of chips. It was just below bursting open tight. Looked like a potato chip bag pillow.

I likes me a dark pretzel--none of those half-baked yellowy things--and Snyders Minis are the best for this since Shop Rite stopped making pretzel rings.

Utz does make "Special Dark" pretzels, which are nice but I wouldn't eat them all the time.

I never go a day without Coke and pretzels.

Pringles always remind me of that pressed-board plywood that is really just sawdust glued together in big sheets and cut into 4 by 8 foot slabs.

Only with potatoes.

At least with Pringles I don't get angry as I do when I open a new bag of chips only to find it's about 3/4 air. That sucks.

You make it sound like its unique to Pringles and any other potato chip. Do you honestly think that chicken broth or shrimp cocktail flavored chips would sell in the States? I don't, but that doesn't make the shrimp cocktail chip less awesome.

Not as awesome as Krunchers, though.

i guess this'd be doritos (nacho cheese) for me. in my youth, i favored tato skins, which have only recently made a comeback, but not that economical for the bag size... pringles'd probably be my #2, but there are a lot of specialty chips that could usurp either spot

For some reason all this potato talk is reminding me of this little burger joint that used to take instant potatos and mush them through something that looked like those play doh things that makes the tubes and then deep fried the suckers for french fries. Damn, I wish that place hadn't closed down.
