Anybody have thoughts at this point. I passed on it at the last minute and am having a little buyer's remorse.

I like it all right. There's no tracks that stand out as much as some I liked on the first one, but it's got a pretty good vibe overall, maybe more consistent. If you liked the last one, you'll probably still like this.

I keep hearing snippets on MTV after RR/RW and liking the tiny bit I hear. I am curious as to how the rest shakes out.

I guess my indie pass will now be revoked.

Pretty much agreed - I like it quite a bit, but it does trail off at the end. The last few songs just seem kind of pointless (from "DARE" on.) It's definitely a more front-loaded album. But, yes, if you liked the first one, you'll most likely like this one, too - it's not that different, but maybe slightly less fun overall.

Anyone who bought the CD + DVD version find the bonus track "Happy Landfill" on their site? I spent like 45 friggin' minutes playing with that crap, my only goal to get that song, and wound up sending off a pissed-off email to their support. If you're going to advertise the deluxe edition as having access to a bonus track on the site, you'd better damn well make that song easy to find.

Agreed 100% and what makes it ewven worse is people like Albarn, Frantz and Weymouth are involved.

We must totally be idiots! . . . or maybe it's just enjoyable music?

Gorillaz - so controversial!

this album sucks. i listened to it yesterday and can't believe i made it almost all the way through, i guess i was hoping for it to get better. even doom can't save the one song he's on. the single is alright though and the track with dennis hopper is oddly compelling though it just kinda ends with no resolution.

I'm liking this album...and I wasn't too crazy about the first one.

Feel Good, Inc. is my summer anthem tune.

I'm heading off to Borders to pick this up tonight. I was reading the credits for the album and it looks like many of those who engineered, produced and worked on Think Tank also worked on Demon Days. I loved Think Tank so maybe that's a good sign.

You will probably enjoy it then. I also like Think Tank a lot and think it shares a lot of similarities. Just don't expect much after "White Light," it takes a serious and boring nosedive in the last four tracks, including the Dennis Hopper track which is a one-listen song, at best.

OTM (on the mark). It starts off so good that I thought it was going to rank very high but it looses steam and just kind of ends. I think the last three songs are really supposed to be just one long song, whatever it is it’s not good.

The first one is definably better because it has that stoner vibe to it. This one doesn’t have that same vibe and I won’t be buying it. I will listen to it quite a bit just not good enough to own.

My cousin burned it for me a couple weeks ago and I just got around to listening to it last week. I've pretty much listened to it non-stop since then. You people suck.

is it the same music personnel as the first one? Was Tina Wymouth replaced?

For the most part, yeah...but I'm not sure if Weymouth was a part or not (I don't have liner notes).

It's definitely not the most intellectual record released this year, but man, it's a fun summer album.

btw, I think the last 2 songs are probably my favorite.

Edit: I think some of you have lost that lovin' feelin.

Maybe it's another Ike Turner. Like any other Ike Turner who didn't beat his wife.

Sweet though, I didn't realize Martina was on it.
