Apparently Hitler, Pol Pot, and Papa Doc have a shot at filling the seat.

Interviews began this morning on Vesco Island.

Calm down, Slappy. At the pace W's getting judges approved, there won't be a Supreme Court, just a bunch of mummies in black robes.

It may be time to start going to church or find some sort of religion because we are definitely nearing the apocalypse. Sandy's replacement will make that cheap little punk Robert Bork look like FDR for chrissakes.

NUKULAR.

Only hopeis that this backfires. Which it won't. GW is so anti-slick he's slick. And I just read that while his approval ratings are in the low 40s, the Dems in Congress lag 10 pts. behind. So much for that "'94='06" mish mash the DCCC is slangin.'

THE HOG IS IN THE TUNNEL

Yeah, the HATE RADIO ALL STARS have really been laying the wood to the Dems on their feeble attempt at whooping up a pseudo-'94 deal.

I also heard a caller say that the Dems should be blocked from participation in all elections because of their un-America beliefs. BRILLIANT!

Jesus Bubba, these really are the times that try men's souls. And BTW, I'm actually convinced that GWB is the voice of freaking reason in D.C.
Shocking perhaps, but not a huge leap of faith.

Jeez guys, calm down. I mean, I'm sure whoever's nominated won't be your top choice, but apocalypse?

It's sad to see a moderate go. But there are limits. It's not like he can just appoint his pastor. He may go with a reputable fiscal conservative or something.

I'm sure Orrin Hatch will suffice.

Or someone who subscribes to the 'Constitution in Exile' Theory.

It's not the end of the world, but it is going to make dismantling what's left of the government for people, and not corporations, much easier.

It's not like he will go Souter on us, either. And when Rehnquist resigns does that mean that CT gets the nom for Chief Justice. It is comforting to me that a man who used the old "pubic hair on a Coke can pick up line" can preside over the highest court in our land.

HAVE YOU READ THE BIBLE??? This shit doesnt happen all at once. The apocsalypse takes time.

First the court basically vaporizes personal property rights. Yeah thanks assholes, good thing I make my money investing in real estate.

Now we are looking at a possible three seat swing in the next two years? It's nice to hope that we may get some alleged conservatives who end up being actual human beings once they hit the bench but I doubt GWB wants to have to live with that embarrasment like his old man. This bastard has a penchant for not fucking things up like his old man did....

Whatever, i dont smoke dope anymore, always pull out in time and have never really had much problem with Christians. The Gay Revolution was fun and all but like Disco and Pet Rocks, all things must come to an end.

See you in Attica, dicks.

i'm getting more and more terrified daily with what's going on lately. i'm sure it's been much, much worse than this, but nonetheless i'm like 3 incidents away from renting out one of Yail's storage lockers and locking myself in with a full bar and a pile of hookers.

holy shit we're still trying to go to mars?

You can thank your liberal buddies on the SCOTUS for that move.

Hate to side with the cynwyd, but it's true. The dissent in Kilo consisted of Rehnquist, Scalia, Thomas and (I think) O'Connor.

From what I've read, the CJ is more likely to be an appointment than an upgrade, so I wouldn't worry about Thomas.

I'm not worried, Haq-y Baby, I'm celebrating.
Dumb is the new smart.

Good thing I have a case of "Safety Orange" Krylon to get me through this

but on the good side, Chase took the day off, so we get some good, sizzling, Friday-style action. And God, and the Bible.

But Reagan nominated O'Connor and Anthony Kennedy, both of which give the Talk Radio numbnuts plenty to bitch about.

I know; I dont give a fuck who did it (im not exactly a card carrying lib anyway) but the fucking Court did it.

These fucks are all over the map anyway.

And worry about Thomas, A. Rehnquist may be a prick but he has been a fairly successful Chief; CT is an S-grade Nazi with a penchant for USING THE PUBIC HAIR ON THE COKE CAN AS A PICK UP LINE.

JESUS.

And CJ is mostly a ceremonial position, is it not?

I wouldn't mind Thomas as CJ, and I think the Dems [STFU REID] would be stupid to threaten a filibuster, cause all that's gonna do is make GWB lean towards Scalia or some other Pryoresque douchebag.

I can't remember where I saw that now chase, but there's no rule about who becomes Cheif Justice - it's up to the head of state.

This is interesting: http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/co ... 00512.html

At least one prediction has come true.
