Ohhh hell yeah! You want a reason to come visit LA? Here it is. From ambitious-outsiders.com:

I love the Sunset Junction Street Fair, don't you? Last year was incredible. Who can forget that dude up in the front of the Bates Stage, with only his PJ bottoms on, rocking out to the Bedroom Walls and then some. Now in it's 25th year, they are still giving music lovers what they crave. Sneak in a flask or a bottle of the hardest liquor you can find, because the fucking NEW YORK DOLLS are set to blow your mind on Sunday night. Check out the lineup that is sure to make everyone happy in the pants (including the perverts who will no doubt take a gazillion pictures of those Suicide Girls).

Keep in mind that there are very special guests slots each night. Who could it be?

Saturday, August 27

Bates Stage (4100 Sunset)
(special guests)
The Walkmen
Jason Falkner
Something For Rockets
Foreign Born
Vagenius
Run Run Run
Let’s Go Sailing

Edgecliff Stage (3700 Sunset)
Richard Street (lead singer of The Temptations)
Former ladies of The Supremes
Freda Payne
Alma da Batucada

(very special guests)

Egads and gadzooks. Nevermind everything else (as impressive as it is), the thought of seeing the Dolls and the Leaving Trains on the same day has got me seriously considering this trip.

That lineup made me  as well...I wonder how intact/original the Weirdos lineup is...

HOLY SHIT!

The best part is, my friends live literally one block from where Sunset Junction is held, so there will be a HUGE afterparty... it was fun going back & forth between the festival & the apt.
