No, but I do hate Diego Maradona with a passion. Does that help?

If it knocks him down a few pegs and highlights his expertise in cheating and cocaine consumption it might not be that bad.

yeah, apparently got his stomch stapled.

DHR -- you still fucked up over the "Hand of God" play?
The Maradona turn was some bad ass shit, pl;us dude used ta kick it with Pablo Escobar...hell I'd LOVE to read/see a good yarn about him.

And Chase -- I did read that Argentina makes Texas lookk like your house when it comes to eating beef. Mmm...Blood Sausage.

i almost went to argentina. but we had just finished a week-long trek through the andes and three days in bolivia on virtually no food, sleep or anything resembling reasonable shelter. only had three days left in south america, so the thought of a sixteen hour bus ride over the mountains to be there for a day paled in comparison to sleeping in a real bed and partying in santiago.

anyways. yeah, you should go.

I think Frank Black's been there.

What brought this on, chase? I mean, if you just wanna go to a place that "knows how to treat a man", do Amsterdam. I always look at historical perspective and attraction when thinking of travel locales. Though you could probably see where Magellan dropped off his mutinous crew, there's not a whole lot of appeal for me. Sure, I'd like to see it someday, but it's pretty far down the list. Do they play cricket there? I'm also in with the anti-Maradonnas. Gimme Europe, or even Peru/Chile over Argentina. Stream consciousness.

i don't smoke pot and i've been to spain and england, and the woman went to amsterdam last summer, so we're kind of done with europe for the moment. i don't really give a shit about history, it's nice but i'm really not concerned and the way i look at it there's history anywhere that's had a colonial period. i've never been to south america and i speak a bit of spanish so argentina sounds as good as any other place to me. now i'm thinking of somehow going from buenos aires around the penguin cape and up through chile, but it's all pretty general at this point.
