Can't say I'd every heard of the fellow until recently but apparently he was the drummer for Barbara Morgenstern and now bashes tubs for Schneider TM.

Anyway now that we have got the background info out of the way the reason I'm mentioning him is he has released a rather good little mini-album (9 tracks; 23 minutes) which is called 'You And I'.

What does it sound like I hear you ask? Well it's kinda all over the place. Some of it reminded me of a sort of paired down Shins; sometimes of Herman Dune, sometimes Come On Pilgrim era Pixies, sometimes that sort of sixties Donovan/Love acoustic sound. Mainly up tempo numbers with bass and drum backing with some hand claps and a little electric guitar, dubby sound effects or electronic noises where needed just to fill out the sound a bit.

It's not going to bowl anyone over in terms of having an original sound but almost all the songs are really good and it definately has "play and play again" potential. I've certainly not had much else on today.

Just putting the name out there although I think it has quite a short print run and might be hard to find.
