One of my favorite labels is having their 10 year anniversary party in Somerville, and Northampton.

The shows are on Saturday, November 27th at the Calvin Theater in Northampton and Sunday, November 28th at the Somerville Theater in Somerville, MA. Both shows start at 6pm and include the folllowing performers:

not a fan of folk per se but i would check this out if i were going to be in town this weekend.
going to nyc to see gf.

Holiday lovin' is where it's at.

p.s. I never understood why indie fans who like good songs and good lyrics, many of whom like alt.country, don't pay any attention to the talented newer folk artists.

sometimes it seems like the same ol' thing. every once in awhile someone unique pops up. the last folk type thing that hooked me was like 10 years ago. it was dar williams which led to richard shindell and the cry, cry, cry album. i love lucy kaplansky's voice but not her solo stuff. that ccc cd blows me away. especially the mary magdalene song.

i've heard a few tunes of his that i liked. can't recall the titles though. any place you'd recommend starting?
