Seeing it makes me want to puke. No one actually laughs out loud that much.

They don't? People really should laugh more.

When I see it now I forget that it's an acronym and just pronounce it instead.

What's wrong with the word "panties"? What word do you use? Undies? Underwear? Underthings? Lingerie?

i use the word 'skivvies' pretty often.

but, i've been told that THAT creates a vision of granny underwear....
and that's not always the image you wish to create.

in which case, i will just cringe and use the 'p' word.

Good One!

I remember wanting to kill hippies who offered to sell me

PHATTY VEGGIE bagels or PHATTY VEGGIE burritos.

now that I think about it hearing hippies talk at all makes me want to punch people. Most of the words people have listed here (dude, rad).
are all part of hippiespeak.

i don't mind the word 'veggies' used like in your examples.

however, i do hate when a vegetarian refers to themself as 'veggie'.

another word i don't like:
brah (a form of 'bro'...but more breathy)

I hear ya here but I remember going to a Grateful Dead show in the mid-90's and the hippies parked next to us we're selling "Fatty Garlic Grilled Cheese" all day. I still call Grilled Cheeses that to this day. Then again, it could've been the drugs.

Yeah, I use most of these annoying phrases, aside from veggies, but many times in a funny and/or ironic to me way.

But I don't really give a fuck either way.

My coworker is very fond of using words like "dilly-yo," or when someone's well-off, they've got "bank." I hate talk like this. This is a guy who is 30 years old. You have no business talking like that as an adult. Fourteen year olds? Okay, they can do it, but I don't have to like it. You do it as an adult and you immediately undercut any respect I might have had for you.

But if you turn it around, it sounds pretty cool. "Rock on" => "On with the rock!" And it's unique. Not that I say either, but were I to, it would be the latter.

"Psyched."

I am not now, nor shall I ever be, "psyched." I desperately wanted this word to die a quick death in 1985, but much like Grape Fanta, it continues to maintain a toehold on the outter fringe of popular society.
