I just put in Yes' "Fragile" as 1972, but it was actually released in 1971 so if a mod can change that, that would be great

thanks

Hendrix's Radio One was recorded in 67, but released in 89... classified as 67 I'm assuming?

Jesus y'all, I guess that overweight smelly chick who gave you something that soap wouldnt wash off was a "9" as well just because you got laid?

Baffling.

There are maybe a hundred albums out of the hundreds of thousands that have been released in the past century that deserve a 9 out of 10. It's just that, for me, many of them are on that chart.

Get over it.

we probably agree on more of those albums than you think, wanna-be-smart-guy

I'm more concerned about OPEN GARBAGE that only has 1 or 2 votes

If you want to argue the artistic merit of an individual album that people have actually listened to (you know, the point of a music BB), start a thread.

Otherwise, i've nothing to get over. My votes are out there. I'm an open book and completely open to discussion on any record on the "Charts" that I've heard.

This chart is all about personal taste. Perhaps the people who voted for the albums you refer to as "open garbage" sincerely believe that they are great. I don't see a problem with that. I'm not here to argue. :) I'm just having fun with this, and can't wait to see how the chart evolves over time, no matter how much I disagree with the picks of others.

I feel like a little clarification is in order.

I'm gonna add whatever the fuck I want and give it whatever score I think it deserves. I've got a list of my favorite records handy, and I've been adding albums on it from the top down. Out of the thousand or so records I own (or am familiar enough with to rate), the one's I've added are in the top 10%. That means on a scale of 1-10, determined by own preferences, those all get a score of 9-10. Whether or not anybody has heard it is irrellevant.

But don't get all worried that I'm gonna fill up 2 pages worth of albums that nobody's ever heard or cares about. I'm done for now.

And if anybody actually cares enough to want to hear something I've got, you could always ask me to hook you up. In the meantime, I'm not going to apologize for what I like, and I'm not going to get it out of everybody's way so you can just have the Stones and Dylan on page 1.

I'll filter by number of votes, smarty pants. And if necessary, I'll even default the number of votes to 10! Thbbbbbbbllltt!

That just means someone would need to have 10 screen names...

Paladisiac's choices for the best Jayhawks albums are baffling to me, but I still love the guy/gal/machine. I would give "Smile" a -3 if I could.

Thanks, Max -- it was so easy, too. And I thought Amazon.com were all clever with their stars...

Good call, Deon, I didn't even notice that. We'll go with "gallery" to be more all-inclusive.

That's all fine and good, no one is saying you can't post what you want. But you knw how we roll, and when you put up OPEN GARBAGE, or albums that are unlistenable, or that no one has ever heard of, you're gonna get clowned. It's nothing personal, sometimes folks gotta get called on some ish, though, Drinks.

I think you would like that PooPoo Bear vs. The Ticklemonster album, PM if you want a copy.

Crap. Haq, I accidentally dup'ed Deftones White Pony. I searched earlier and nothing was there, then monty put in up while I was doing something else.

I think that anyone who rates something that they've never heard is clowning themselves, personally. Now if you've heard it and you think it's "open garbage", then that's fine. To clown it because you assume it's open garbage is no way to "roll". If I'm out of line and you guys have heard all this stuff that you're bashing, I apologize up front.

I dont rate albums that I've never heard and for the most part don't even rate ones that I dont own.

So even though Can or whatever isnt my cup of tea, I just dont rank it because I'm not qualified to do so...

I'm just an opinionated SOB, and so it goes.....

I'm an idiot...

I was trying to add Digital Underground's "Sex Packets" as a new album, but as I was looking in the existing artist pull-down menu under the D's, I forgot to clear "Daft Punk" when I submitted the album.

Can a mod fix this for me? Thanks for helping the idiot.

about as smart as assuming we're rating stuff we haven't heard, jocko.

I haven't rated too many albums. Mostly Stones stuff and complete shit like Wire, The Stooges and Smelly Smith.

I see that you apologized up front, so I won't go bucky on you.
