"Leaders Of The Free World" is the new album. They've gotten a bit more cheery since their last it seems, which is fine by me. The album is released on September 5th. Here's a track for you to check out...

Elbow - Mexican Standoff

awesome...thanks D!

this song is definitely a new sound for elbow, but i like it a lot. more guitar, more cheery as you say. can't wait to hear the new album...it's one of my more anticipated releases coming up.

I like this, so if earlier stuff is more depressing I imagine I would dig them even more.

I've heard them before, but never took the leapto buy something by them. So where do you think is the best place to start with Elbow?

Thank you, Dalen. I'm excited to hear the rest! I must admit, I preferred Asleep in the Back over A Cast of Thousands, for the very reason that tom addressed-- I liked the mopey depressed vibe!

I'm so looking forward to their new release.

With Super Furry Animals*, JJ72 and Elbow coming out, British music might be making a statement.

*Not British but you know what I mean
