I'm not really a fan of the original, in fact I don't think I've ever seen the whole thing. That said, this remake might not be that bad. Richard Linklater is directing and the script is by the guys who wrote Bad Santa.

I love the original, but that might have something to do with being named after the shortstop.

I loved the original, was ready to hate the remake...

except it doesn't look half bad. not half bad at all. I'll definitely end up taking my younger bro and check this one out...

chase and i can both vouch for Bad News Bears Go to Japan as being freakishly watchable.

i don't know how i feel about this emake, but i sure as shit ain't gonna see it in the theater.

A few of the commercials were ho-hum, but the "bacon in a baggie" will get me into the theater when it opens.

The original came out just as I was starting Little League so it's always been kind of a cool movie for me.

Hard to top Walter Matthau. Hard to top those foul mouthed kids.

On a similar note, saw the preview for The Dukes, and damn if Burt and Willie dont' make some awesome chemistry.

The only part of the Dukes Of Hazzard that looked decent was when the car was doing some crazy ass jumps and maybe that stank ho Jessica Simpson.

Some decent remakes off the top of my head:

Heaven Can Wait
Invasion of the Body Snatchers
The Thing

it looks like billy bob will own this film and play that bad santa part. this can't be all bad. i'm usually not a supporter or redos, but if tastefully (or classlessly in this case) done, go right ahead
