and I chuckled. Mostly because we (Canada, that is) made them change their name to Bush X. But then I laughed at myself because it reminded me of my first year at University when I went home for Christmas break. I missed my girlfriend at the time and I listened to that song a lot. Holy shit what a sad sack I was.

<--- is surprised Weird Al Yankovic never did a parody entitled "Listerine"

"Don't let my teeth... rot... dry... wouldn't make it easier to chew..."

I was gonna say that Weird Al didn't remake that song because he had stopped making albums by then. But then I went to allmusic and checked it out and he's put out lots since then. I mean who knew Weird Al was still pumping out albums as late as 2003??? Personally, I thought the guy was dead.

I never got into Bush. Took themselves so seriously and were so portentous and not very tuneful. Never wished them ill, but was never interested, either.

Actually his most recent albums have sold very well, have some very clever songs on them (especially the non-parody originals) and Al has gotten lasik surgery and stopped wearing tropical shirts, even.

I've actually caught myself humming Machinehead once or twice after hearing it on the radio. They also released an electronica remix album called Deconstructed which wasn't that good save for a remix of Synapse which I think is brilliant.
