do to a family issue (and what an issue!) i now have a completely free and clear weekend at the last minute. i'm thinking of getting some quality drunken posting in, maybe a little bowling, a little BBQing, a little hiking, maybe a lot of sleep.

oh and washing my car.

Today: Leave work as soon as humanly possible. Drive to dad's house (sister in town from VA, gf coming down from ATL) the usual activities that entails: drinking copious amounts of beer (I hope there is Hefeweisen left) probably drunken ping pong and general shenanigans. Eat a fat dinner.

Tomorrow: Go to a place near MGM, AL and buy a waaay too expensive pair of shoes, just cos I can. Repeat friday's schedule of drinking and eating

Sunday: Drive home, go to a BBQ Plate Fundraiser. pick up asshole boss. Probably not cut his heart out and feast upon it, but keep your eyes on the papers. Dread the rest of the week

Monday: I will be in Philly for at least a few hours, but not sure if overnight. Hey Cotton, you wanna crash a FR at the 4 Seasons?

Twilight, you sho nuff are a Yankee watchin fool. Props to your dedication, however misguided.

Tonight: Hopefully nothing. I need to wake up hangover free on a Saturday for once. Oh, and save money.

Saturday: Errands, Pool, FREE ROCK SHOW! Weezer, The Bravery, The Dead 60's, and Second Shift are playing at Underground Atlanta for free.
Pre-game at Pagoda's possibly. Then followed by large amounts of beer consumption. Attack town with reckless abandon.

Sunday: Chillin. Watch British Open. Maybe hit Tower Records. Entourage.

I'm leaving tonight to take a crowd of rowdies up to my house in Brevard NC. Spend the night drinking.

Tomorrow wake up rowdies for a nice long day hike up in the Appalachians, then spend the evening playing poker and drinking.

Sunday might do a bit of horseback riding,

SUNDAY NIGHT

Husband leaves for Michigan in an hour with the band. So I'm leaving work early and meeting my mom and son in Oak Park so I'm taking the Green Line up there. Hang out there a couple hours and come back. Son goes to sleep and I read for a bit.

Sat: Take son to his dad's. Go to Barnes and Noble, buy books. Read, clean and grocery shop. Play some gamecube. Go swimming.Watch a couple movies, drink some wine or something.

Sunday: Read. Do Nothing. Husband comes home late morning, spend the rest of the day relaxing with him. Happiness.

It's the wife's birthday tomorrow.
Just family stuff.

But I DID get her a cake from her favorite bakery.
She's NEVER had one on her b-day before because they have always been closed the entire month of July for vacation.
I had it made to be ready on 6/30 and stuck it in my parents' freezer.

She's gonna be way surprised.
Cool.

I've heard stories of the Tarpon Rodeo in Grand Isle, but never got to go.

I'll be fishing in that one the last week of July. Nothing like it in America for sure. It's actually been toned a little the last couple of years, but it makes Mardi Gras look like a church service.
