So Cliff from Cheers is here filming that show "Made in America" on the Travel Channel.

He's a lot older looking in person.

I actually said "Hey Cliff". Don't think he really liked that, but he still said hi.

Busty, don't you know the first rule of seeing someonelike Cliff is to assume that they ARE their character, and refuse to believe that they are an actor.

"Cliff!! How's Norm, man? And Sam? Dude, how come you never visited Fraiser in Seattle? I thought y'all were boys"

"Sir, that was a character I played on TV!"

"So, do you still go to Cheers or did Sam shut it down?"

Jason Alexander doesn't like being reminded of Seinfeld.

I think I saw that Adam dude from the first "Average Joe" walking on the street last week. He was talking on a cell phone. I think he looks like Mr. Potato Head.

Bonus points if it's an animated character. "Holy shit! You sound just like the pig in Toy Story!!!!!"

I saw Rick Moranis in a McDonalds having lunch with his kid in the middle of nowhere New Hampshire.

When he was leaving my buddy called out

"See ya hoser"

He looked and chuckled.

I've got 2 both from a very long time ago.

Saw Tony Randall walking in Manhattan and my friend asks him to make that "honking" noise he always made on The Odd Couple when his sinus was bothering him. He said he had no idea what we were talking about so we followed him around for a few blocks asking him repeatedly to do it while we "demonstrated" what it sounded like.

Saw Arnold Schwarzenegger in a restaurant. He got up to go to the bathroom and my friends and I followed him. He was in one of the stalls and my friend peeps underneath and asks him for his autograph. Suprisingly, he remained calm. He said in his thick (real thing back then) accent "C'mon, guys, give me a break. I'm on the toilet."

Yeah, my buddies and I were real dicks.

Cliff was also in Gandhi.

My dad saw Randall "Tex" Cobb in the Little Rock Airport once.

I played a show a few years ago -- tribute to Gene Clark -- and George "Norm" Wendt was in attendance. Unfortunately, I was the only solo/acoustic act, so I opened the show and he missed my 2-song set.

I saw Kenny Rogers at Chili's in Athens, GA.

He was walking out of the bathroom, and my boy Scotty D looked at him and said "Know when to walk away, Kenny."

He turned around and said "Hey Guys!" and gave is the 'wink and the gun'

I got chased out of a bar in Middleburg, FL by Johnny Valentine (Greg The Hammer's dad) one night a long time ago. He was mean old SOB.

hmm, no celebrity sightings here in Portland. Back in Atlanta I had a few... Brad Pitt and Juliette Lewis at a Gap in Lenox Square Mall, Chilli from TLC at Lenox, Corbin Berson coming out of La Bamba restaurant on 14th (don't think it's still there)-- me doing a double take and him saying, "Yeah, I'm him." Cocky SOB. Hmm, Terry Bradshaw at the Silver Skillet on 14th. One of my friends in college saw Mick Jagger in a restaurant when he was in town filming the critically-lauded Freejack

Those old-school rasslers didn't have much of a sense of humor from what I could tell. Within months of that incident, me and a couple of friends went in a bar in downtown Jax after the Thursday night matches, and Bobby Shane and a couple others I don't remember now were shooting pool. One of my buddies was a real wise-ass, and started giving Shane static- he broke a cue over the back of my buddy's head. I spent the night in the emrgency room waiting for the stitches to be put in his punkin head, and then stopped hanging in rowdy bars. For the most part. And Bobby Shane's snarky ass drowned in that plane crash shortly thereafter.

Yikes. That reminds me, I saw Tommy "Wildfire" Rich at the Post Office in Hampton GA about a year or so ago. He talks real raspy now. Everybody in there fucking knew him because I guess he lives around there. I said "hi, used to be a big fan" or something and walked on.

I've seen...

Chris Cooper with his wife at a mall near me a couple of years ago at Xmas.

ML Carr walking down a street in town. This was before he ruined the Celtics.

Martha Stewart in NYC last year. I think it was right before she went to jail.

And I met Manny Ramirez at spring training in 2004. Someone took a picture but some douche jumped in and I, unfortunately, got cropped out of the picture. I did get his signature on a ticket though. We also yelled at Derek Lowe and Kevin Millar while they were headed to the locker rooms. Millar just kept walking while DLowe at least waved. Ellis Burks talked to us for a little bit and we invited him to stop in a dive bar my roommate bartends at but he never did. He was a pretty cool guy.

My dad claims to have seen Rhea Perlman shopping at the grocery store in Toronto.
