Actually, I'm friends with this guy in a shoegaze band, and I tried to convince him to take the following photo and call the album "5 Foot Stare"

There's three of them, sitting down on a couch, with their feet on the coffee table, taken from the perspective of facing the couch. One of them has his leg crossed on the other, perhaps inspecting something on his shoe.

It's sort of a pun on the "1,000 Yard Stare".

I can't think of any pop releases that I really like. Perhaps a Cranberries album cover, e.g., Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can't We?, To the Faithful Departed and/or No Need to Argue.

I think the reason his statistic might be right is because of albums like those from Britney Spears and N*Sync and Backstreet Boys. I wonder how true it is on someplace like CDBaby.com.

I've never noticed how awesome that cover is before.

I don't think it's their best album though, I think that honor belongs to...

When Street Survivors came out, a friend of mine misheard it and said, incredulously, "They called the album Three Survivors?!"
