I meant to post this yesterday, but the board was acting up TK reminded me with his post.

BOS 50-41 .549 --
NYY 49-41 .544 .5
BAL 49-42 .538 1
TOR 45-47 .489 5.5
TB_ 31-62 .333 fucked

This is at least interesting, considering the past six years have finished exactly the same. Also, Boston has just lost 3 of 4 to the Yankees and the Orioles in the past couple weeks.

6-7, whatever. But it wasn't just the top two, it was all the way to the bottom.

Actually, I'd prefer at the very least that the Birds finish in 3rd rather than 4th.

since starting 20-9 the Orioles are like 4 under .500. Is anyone really surprised by that? Expect them to struggle to get 85 wins.

New York's Yankees nee Highlanders (as such they were known after relocation, initially) are the original Baltimore Orioles.

Game and a half out with Chipper coming back this week. Hudson and Hampton coming back too. It's on.

Bobby Cox deserves Manager of the year. Then again he's like Shaq and the MVP, he deserves it every year it seems like.

Frank Robinson can only perform this hocus-pocus for so long.

And how are they making trades and adding players/payroll. I thought the owners owned The Nationals. What the fuck are AOL/Time Warner or any other owners doing them add players to beat their teams?

Is this the bizarro world?

Well, the Mets and Phillies are done so I guess it isnt.....

MKE's Beermakers did their part to contribute to the fall by taking three of four out of the break. Assuming they don't play again, either, they took the season series 4 and 3. Hooya.

As it is, I would kind of like to see a Baltimore-DC World Series. Not going to happen, but I'd find it more entertaining than Los Angeles-Los Angeles of Anaheim, and probably more entertaining than Chicago (A) - Chicago (N).

got him round Friday at midnight.....

I don't expect too much from him, but anything is better then our other options right now, and for $400k for the rest of the year, he earned it last night....

I hope the Nationals don't win another game ever.

I've always been a Jays fan so it's nice to see them hanging around. They'll drop in the second half, especially with Halladay out but at least they're fun to watch now.

I want the Nationals to come out of the NL. That would rule.

Actually, it's been

Yankees
Red Sox
Blue Jays
Orioles
Devil Rays

every year since 1998 (that's seven seasons 1998-2004)

The current standings have the Orioles and Blue Jays switched AND the Red Sox and Yankees switched, so no matter what happens at the top, it's unlikely the Blue Jays will finish third so the streak will probably be broken.

Thanks for taking those pieces of shit Darrel May and Tim Redding off our hands. In stark contrast, Quantrill has been pretty good. Only one earned run in about 9 innings.

Interesting.

This should help my strikeouts in my rotisserie league, as A.J. will be facing a gaggle of hitters unfamiliary with his big cheese. So, more double-digit k games should be in the offing.
