who went? for an opening band nine black alps sure knew how to pack the mercury lounge. they rocked! so did the cribs and hard-fi.

NBA and The Cribs are 2 bands i've promoted quite a bit on obner. The Cribs kick ass live. Was the crowd into them? Gimme me the lowdown!

no, i think i was sick or pms-ing that night.

The crowd was made up of 50% ex-pats or devout followers of the cribs. the crowd was definitely into their show...but i must say nine black alps and hard-fi were partially to credit as they were great openers. for an opening band, nba totally packed the mercury lounge...i've never seen that happen before. the crowd emptied out quickly after nba. sam champion...eh...

3rd up...hard-fi. they were great! the crowd really got into them.

the cribs were sooooooo fun! the crowd knew lyrics and were singing along, jumping and dancing. no crowd surfing thankfully.

i think ross played the whole night with blood or lipstick on his face, because when they first got on stage his face was clean, then for the rest of the night it his mouth and part of his face was all red. i've never seen them before so i didn't know if it was lipstick, blood, or roseacea.

it's was probably a combination.

such a fun band! glad you had a good time.
