ugh. i'm on my fourth cup of coffee right now and i can almost not think of the pain that's lurking just behind my eyeballs. it feels like gomes are taking hacksaws to my cerebral synapses. very dull hacksaws.

all i can think is that the chicken and waffles did not counteract the 600 blackened voodoos i had last night.

I've been there man.

If you can make it to lunch I recommend some greasy fast food, pull car into a shaded area, eat said food, take nap.

Won't completely erase the pain but might get you through the day.

On days like those I also tend to take "breaks" out to my car.

I'm with ya man. I went out after my kickball game last night and had 234 budweisers and a pack of cigarettes.

Naps and fast food for the dizzies and general lethargy and fatigue. Excedrin for the headache. Nothing except but the Ex has ever cured me of a hangover headache in 20 min flat.

Worst idea ever: Gatorade to 'replenish' the system and help with the dehydration. Gave me the worst heartburn I've ever had.

I've got a 178 beers set aside for tonight.

hangovers are like, my thing, since I take medication that messes me up and I can get one from like 4 glasses of wine. No more coffee. POUND water. Can you get ginger ale? Makes me feel so much better. Sounds like you're not pukey, which is good. And yes, greasy food.

Sleeping is always the best remedy but not always an option...

Due to dr's orders for a stomach prob I'm off alcohol for three weeks. yay me. And I quit smoking about three weeks ago.

Oddly enough, I don't miss either that much right now.

Anyways, I've said it before I'll say it again: Pedialyte. It works wonders. It helps hydrate you. Grape is the best advised flavor.

I'm right there with you guys. I was out way too late last night and imbibed about 3 times more than what I promised myself I would before going out. Oh well...at least it's Friday right?

Is the day over yet? Ugh.

Thanks. It's easier this time because husband and I quit same time(and he smoked a lot more then I did) and help each other out. I almost fell back the first week and he put his arms around me and reminded me of all the reasons we quit(my health and also my son deserves to have his mom around a long long time).

Keep up the good fight, it will linger for a while. I went out boozing on Wednesday night and there were a few instances where I wanted to have just one, but I didn't.

I quit two years ago come August.

Why, why, why, why, why does the daily show have to come on at 11pm? It's got to be the most popular show on comedy central - haven't they heard of prime frickin time?

I stay up and watch both episodes till midnight, and generally have about 143 cocktails in the process. Wake up with at least a no-sleep hangover like everyday.

I generally can deal with the hangover pain. I accept it as penance for self-destruction. Its the post hangover crazies that I hate. Some call it the guilts or the heebie jeebies. I call it the crazies 'cause I feel I'm on that insane verge.

Yeah ain't that the truth!

We figured we're saving about 40 bucks a week with quitting. I like that.

did the aspirin and water last night, pounded some exedrin this morning. i know the coffee is bad for me, but it's the only thing keeping my head off the desk at this point. feeling better though.

sadly, this is the one thing that will totally make me feel better, but then i'd have to stave off that beast all day and night, which isn't much of an option because i have to take some friend of my lady's kids to the zoo tomorrow morning. which scares me.

I used to get it, BAD, especially when imbibing more than alcohol.

We now have a saying: "The Fear is for pussies"

haven't had a bout with it in over a year.

But, I get KILLER hangovers, which is why I kinda don't mind not knowing anybody down here, makes me a good boy during the week, which let's me relatively pain free for the job.
