I read about this moments ago at Yahoo News. It seems like most of those nominated were Conservative people or individuals like John Kerry whom liberal comedians now have a disdain for after failing to win an election that was almost handed to him at certain points of the campaign.
While I don't like Bush or Anne Coulter, it seems like they could have found dumber people to award these to rather than ideologues they just disagree with.
Plus it seems really late for a 2004 awards show and too early for a 2005 edition.
