I have Sebadoh's 'III' and 'Harmacy' and I like lots. Harmacy was permanently in my cd player for the duration of '96-'97.

I'm a huge Dinosaur Jr. fan so I love all of the stuff he did with them. I like Sebadoh quite a bit. Bakesale is a great album and Harmacy is pretty decent, too. Folk Implosion was ok as well but I don't like his stuff there as much as with Dino and Sebadoh.

I would say he's "righteous" except that his low-fi stuff is really uninteresting and, in my opinion, worthless. If it were possible to say "heard lots, he's cool" I would have voted for that. I have heard lots but don't consider him righteous by any means.

I have every album up through Bakesale (except for "Smash Your Head on the Punk Rock", but for some reason I don't count that), and there's really not a weak album in the bunch....

I basically lived on a diet of Sebadoh and weed in college

some of that sebadoh stuff is classic. other sebadoh stuff is merely great. sentridoh (which i, being a lo-fi acoustic bedroom indie pop fan quite like) inspired me to be become a 4-tracking DIY musician.

so yeah, i like him

smasch your head has by far their best song, the punk version of "brand new love"

i liked everything up untill bakesale, which i found really boring.
i don't listen to them much anymore, but i was a huge fan of everything he did for a long time.

i sitll have a shit load of sentridoh and early folk implossion.

wow, I never liked that version of that song. I think I prefer Superchunk's version.

I also don't listen to them very much anymore

My only experience with his solo stuff was when he opened for the Decemberists, and it was the most embarassed I've been for any performer in a long, long time. His songs sucked hard, and by the third one, the crowd was talking as if no one was on stage. Whatever he had, he lost in a big way.

Bakesale and Bee Thousand continuously arm wrestle each other (in my head) for grand champeen of 1994.

IMHO, III and Harmacy can't hold a stick to Bakesale.

Lots and righteous.

I own every Sebadoh/Sentridoh and Folk Implosion album, and can find something worthwhile on all of them (although the most recent FI album is pushing it).

My favorites are III, Bakesale, Harmacy and One Part Lullaby.

Lowenstein's songs are awesome on that record, but yeah, it is kind of monolithic
