THE BIGGER BANG

and, though I could swear I typed this before, I guess this is as good a place as any to reveal the track list to my "Worst of the Stones" mix. This is post - Exile crapola that only the seriously deranged will love, but if you truly think that everything they did in this period sucks, PM me and I will gladly send you this...or if anyone wants it over IM I'll do that too.

One Hit (to the Body)
Saint of Me
She Was Hot
She So Cold
Luxury
Cherry Oh Baby
Tops
Fool to Cry
Blinded by Rainbows
Slipping Away
Thru and Thru
Thief in the Night
All the Way Down
Hang Fire
Respectable
Mixed Emotions

Yail, Rads, Cotton: do your worst

I always liked Fool to Cry. Black and Blue is a pretty good album actually...

What, no love for side projects. This mix absolutely needs some "Si si, je suis un rock star".

I think you cheated a bit there, Loogs, by putting on mid '70s ringers like "Luxury", "Cherry Oh Baby", and "Fool To Cry." I would've liked to see you go totally post-Emotional Rescue on this mix, featuring any forgotten nuggets from albums like Dirty Work and Undercover Of The Night and Steel Wheels for those of us who'd given up on the band. I suspect you could do it.

you are correct in your assessment the problem was, there aren't enough forgotten gems on those albums to fill an 80 min cdr

Oh bugger off, yail...make your own mixes...if you would send me 40 Licks, i could jettison those songs and add the 2 good ones from there and you couldn't touch this with an 18" black rubber cock.

I would totally love a post-Emotional rescue mix, Loogs. I'm fairly ignorant of their 80s output, so it would be interesting to hear.

I was thinking it was 'best of the worst', but if it's worst of the worst...now I'm not sure.

If Bowie's doin Lou, and Lou's doin Bowie, Lou's still doin Lou.

AKA they could record the sounds of Keef withdrawing from smack and taking a doodoo, while ronnie freebases and Mick and Wyman attempt to monger 14 year olds, and it will still come out better than whatever sequel to Poopoo Bear Vs. The Ticklemonster that you are raving about this week.

It's the best of the worst.

I'm not including "Winning Ugly" or the like.

As I explained, this will dispel any rumors that this band has no worthwhile output since Exile.

I definitely want you to hook me up with this mix.

I would only take one if it came with accompanying photos from the respective time period.

Hey I know what I'll do with these idle hands. I'll photoshop Mick's ugly-ass head onto Iggy Pop's sinewy emaciated body and put him in Romanian olympic gymnast pants with an Italian loaf in the crotch. Cool no one will even notice.
