I know that most of you guys will mention Arrested Development but it wont make my Top 5 nor will my former perrennial favorite The Simpsons (i'm pretty done with that show), nor will Family Guy, which despite referencing the "He Touched Me" episode of Different Strokes, is still wildly inconsistent.

Honorable mentions: This Old House, Emeril Live, and of course The Sopranos (if it indeed still exists)

After finally making it through Season 2 on DVD I have to admit that I am completely obsessed with this show. Cory, we need to start an ongoing discussion thread.

And when does Season 3 come out on DVD? I need to see it again.

I'm impressed with y'all's love for Countdown; I think it kicks the Daily Show's ass in terms of what it provides.

And I forgot about Chapelle's Show.......

Shows I hate to miss...

Curb Your Enthusiasm, (far and away number 1)
Sopranos (Does this count)
Six Feet Under (though I'm glad this is the last season)
House (A unique hospital drama, but I could see it getting old fast)
Entourage (Just 'cause it's so decadent)
The Shield (best cop character since Columbo)

Honourable mention (and I'm slightly ashamed to say it) Gilmore Girls but I tell everyone that my wife makes me watch it.

1. The Wire
2. Sopranos
3. Law & Order - SVU
4. Arrested Development
5. Curb Your Enthusiasm

Honorable mention: Reno 911, Daily Show, Chappelle.

The Wire may be the best television show I've ever seen. And Carnivale was right behind it. I've never seen Rescue Me or The Shield but am getting both on DVD. We've been watching the late, great Boomtown lately and it's great. I also liked the only episode I saw of Medium.

This is hard for those without cable so I say:

1. Arrested Development
2. Scrubs
3. Extreme Home Makeover
4. CSI (any of them, but LV>Miami>NY)
5. Boston Legal

haven't seen chapelle's show yet. i don't watch that much tv in the first place. i was hooked on inferno 2 for a while. sometimes i'll watch will&grace or scrubs. i'll eventually be adding a football show to that list, probably espn's countdown.

Yeah, you definitely have to see Rescue Me. I don't watch much TV, but this is the only show that I have to watch each week. Well, except for that Britney and Kevin thing.

nah, i usually watch it but its too hookey (sp? the word is ho - kee) not unlike most sports pregame shows. I read and research enough during the week that if those shows are anything more than background noise, then I am not doing my job as a grown ass American male.

Though Lee Corso, despite his gar-dom, wouldnt even rank hon my list of most hated ESPN talent (that's probly its own thread, right?)

Corso is somewhat annoying but seems fairly innocuous to me - did he insult your school or something?

Stephen A. Smith might be mine.

I love Lee Corso. He wouldn't be able to talk if you tied his hands to his chair.

I didn't include The Sopranos because it only airs about every 2 years or so. Carnivale would have made it, but it got canned, as did Dead Like Me.

Near misses would be Curb Your Enthusiasm, the CSI's, House and King of the Hill.
