I ordered the newest Pajo and Six Organs cds off their website (via paypal) on July 7th and have yet to receive my order. I emailed them on Monday and have yet to get a reply. Just curious if someone else has had a similar experience ordering with them. Danke.

I ordered a Pavement - Westing (By Musket and Sextant) poster from their site a few months ago. First they didn't charge me any shipping and handling like they advertised on the site, just the price of the poster. Second, about a week after receiving my order, I received another of the same poster. Card was only charged once. Based on that, I'd say they're lacking a bit in efficiency.

Yea, I finally got an email saying they will be shipping my order this week - only 3 weeks after my original order.

Drag City?

Is there something you would like to tell us about your clothing style?

I had a very similar experience last year. Only I think it took nearly 2 months to get everything I ordered. It took nearly a month for them to respond to any of my emails.

Of the things I ordered (Ghost - Hypnotic Underworld on vinyl) was out of stock so it's really understandable that it took so long to get to me. What wasn't cool was how long it took them to finally let me know what was going on with my order. Their mail order dept. is pretty fucking inept to say the least. I decided never to order from them again.

At least they're not dishonest or anything, though.

I've had issues with Merge (delayed orders) and Matador (bad pressings-not necessarily their fault), but never DC. Don't be afraid to get on the horn & rattle bones, Tommy. Here's their biz line: (312) 455-1015. Do it for Jimmy V.

Merge is pretty slow.
Miles Of Music is not fast.

I wanted to order that Six Organs and Joanna Newsom both on vinyl, but they weren't in stock for a long time, and at a pretty inopportune time for them. More importantly, the mailorder dude I was dealing with was very unfriendly. Weak.

Order from Ninja Tune. We're very efficient and accommodating.

I ordered the Joanna Newsom single from Drag. I think I paid by check, but by the time I finally remembered that I had tried ordering it, it had been weeks before and I couldn't remember.

I never got the cd, but I can't remember if I actually was charged for it or not.

Oh, yeah, and I think I actually ended up calling them before I'd gotten anything.
