I go to
www.allmusic.com

And it asks me to log in.
I can't remember my password, and it hasn't sent it to me yet.
So I can't use the site until I DO log in.

Anyone else getting that?
A required login for AllMusic?

For the awhile everytime I went to the page I was getting a "you're IP has been flagged for excessive activity" and saying if I continue I will be banned and I should register. Eventually it just went away, so I never bothered. I don't understand what that was all about because I don't have a static IP.

I've been there maybe 5 or 6 times, never gotten anything similar.

Got just the search boxes at first. Once I did a search, everything was fine.

I actually typed in my password and it took me back to the same login screen. I think it's an error on their end.

Used to happen to me ALL THE TIME! But I wrote the password down, so now I don't have to worry about it.

I've never registered. Are there benefits to logging in, or...?

I got "ERROR 2: TIMEOUT" a little while ago, just loading the startpage.

You can listen to samples and browse music differently (by mood or theme instead of just searching for it).

I get this strange message:

"Welcome back, Andy
You are logged in!"

So apparently it's working ok for me.

Does anyone know how to change your password? My password is ridiculous to remember, so i just save the e-mail confirmation with my password. But i'd like to change it so i don't have to cut and paste everytime i visit.

I get it some of the time, but only when I click on something "deeper" like the full credits of an album or something.

I logged in and it called me a fag!!

Just because my most recent searches have been Judy Garland, Pointer Sisters, Pet Shop Boys, Cher and Frankie Goes to Hollywood is no reason for AMG to make assumptions.

That is soooo wrong.
