i agree. mcshane kicks ass and is one of the main reasons that show is watchable. that dicktard from Go might be one of the worst actors ever, but it is totally made up for by the Doctor (chucky!) and Swearengen.

This show was the reason I was paying an extra $50 a month to get cable until I couldn't afford it anymore. Rented season 1, got my girl into it and pulled some marathon sessions a few weeks ago to fill in the holes. Bad ass.

Cocksuckers.

McShane is aces. Been watching him since "Lovejoy". He and The Stranglers intro are the only reasons Sexy Beast was watchable.

I watched the first three episodes of this and like them, but the profanity eventually got to the point where it was ruining the show for me. It works in a show like The Sopranos, but in a show like this that is set in the 1800s (if I remember correctly) it just seems so completely forced and unnatural that it takes you (or me, at least) out of the story.

I watch Six Feet Under... I never got extremely into Deadwood but I liked what I saw, when I did watch it.

but the swearing is more or less accurate of what to expect of a shitty frontier town of prostitutes and scallywags, right? yes, i just wanted to use the term "scallywag"

once six feet under started declining (beginning of last season?) and carnivale became the biggest bullshit teaser show on tv i vested far more than i should've into this show.

I'm just glad the show has seemed to bring the term cocksucker back into vogue. I hadn't heard that term used in years, but ever since Deadwood, even outside the show, I have heard it popping up with more frequency.

And, yeah Swearengen kicks ass.

I would have to give some of the credit for this to Bubbles from Trailer Park Boys, too.

Six Feet Under has changed, sort of, but last season was pretty exciting. David almost died, Nates wife was murdered by her sisters husband (sound like a soap opera yet?) and he starts fucking around with Brenda again. He has some strange brain condition, and in the most recent episode I watched he cheated on Brenda (they got married) and then he collapsed after shouting "I have a numb arm, numb arm nerm erm arm!" haha. The last episode was actually pretty funny. Claires ex-boyfriend, the one who sucked the art teachers dick, was in it again and he lost a couple, or 50 pounds and looks like a rat now. It seems like it keeps getting more far-fetched though, with everyone having these terrible life threatening problems in every episode, whereas in the begining of the show (Season 1) it seemed more realistic. Its entertaining though.

the lat episode was better than most of the last 2 seasons, but still, at any given moment i've HATED like 98% of the cast. Oddly, Rico, Keith and Claire are the only characters i can even stand, and last year i hated those 2. the art school meltdown was funny, but still it was so much mre entertaining when nathaniel's death was still on everyone's minds and he was popping up everywhere. the dead father is always my favorite character...

it's funny you're laughing at nate's aneurysm from last week, because my girlfriend and i have been calling each other and saying that to each other at work all week: "I num...arm...nerm...erm...erghghhh"

hahaha, yeah well it's coming from someone who used to laugh at handicap pictures with her boyfriend. (not just physically) and i'm going to feel like shit if anyone is handicapped on this board. I didn't do it in a harmful way.. yeah, I didn't like the art kids, they bother me, it bothers me how they portray artists, but I guess they aren't really generalizing artists as a whole to be like that, but claires friends were annoying as shit. Also, Inoticed that the dead father hasn't popped up at all recently, I remember he did when Ruth got married again, and he did atleast one or two other times but he's rarely around anymore. That bothers me as well. I think David and Keith having children is hilarious, not because they're gay, because I completely support that, but it's just really funny watching them handling these boys who watch their gay porn tapes and drive their cars around and pull out knives on them. It's entertaining.

Yeah, Richard Lewis was on a local radio station here this morning and spilled the beans. He said this will be the "darkest" season ever, so there should be plenty of inappropriate humor for people like me who lap it up.

Oh man I hope not. He's such a shithead for cheating on Brenda. I was glad they finally got back together. It's nice to see people reconnect like that. She has cheated on him a whole lot before though. but still. people are supposed to change damnit. Plus I think it would fuck up Maya a whole lot if both of her parents died.

Not true. Only Minnie Riperton has met the reaper. Dick Rudolph is still among the living.
