Like the suckers who subscribed to their magazine.

My subscription arrives on a regular basis. Maybe they just hate the rest of you.

I'm 31 now. I want to settle down. All this bed hopping is losing it's appeal.

I'd like for Obner to live.

As someone else said, I don't really see CMJ keeping the message board up to date and secure.

And do we people even like CMJ? Aren't half of you missing magazines they never mailed you?

I have pretty much NO faith in the CMJ people to do it properly. Their #1 priority/bread & butter is the magazine, & they can't even do THAT right.

The monthly magazine was never their bread & butter or first priority, and AFAIK that was their only publication with massive print/distro problems. Their industry weekly mag is, has been, and probably will always be their mainstay. I don't think any of us were regular subscribers of the weekly mag, and I never heard of any problems with delivery of it. Chances are if they were anywhere near as bad as the monthly, the company would've sunk years ago. That doesn't excuse them for poorly handling company side projects, but I don't think the initial assessment here is very fair.

I'm with Max. I like this place, but I think the new CMJ is worth checking out. If we don't like it and choose to stay here, I'm cool with that.

You're right - I forgot that they're more than the monthly newsstand mag. I stand corrected.

Having said that, we would be using their message board...& when the previous one was a complete piece of crap that was about 3-4 years outdated ( at LEAST ) , I don't have much confidence in a "new & improved" version. Maybe the new one will only be 2-3 years behind the tech curve.

He's around...pm'd me a few days ago about my rampant dickish behavior and trading mixes.
