Never heard the band.
I'm responding just to prove you wrong, Kerry.

I really like them and have been wanting to see them for quite some time now. I can't even begin to describe how disappointed I am that while they're here in LA, I'll be in Phoenix (how do you like THAT for irony?!) watching Muse. :(

Go, Mlle, so I can live vicariously through you!!

For a while I listened to nothing but Phoenix. It's hard to describe their sound. Some of their songs make me think of Toto for some reason.

I was thinking of going too but...it's at Axis. I still might go. I wonder how much it is?

Are we talking about the 70's band Phoenix that had members of the Kinks and Argent in it.

um... they were pretty good. there was a lot more rock than i expected. "if i ever feel better" sounded pretty awesome with the big riffs, but a few other songs were lacking live from how they are recorded. it was their first US show, so they were pretty amped. they played a little more than an hour and at least one brand new song was in the set. and i'm sure this will change by tomorrow, but they are a pretty well-dressed band, especially the keyboard player.

These guys came by a local show I was helping a friend out with on Friday night.... and surprisingly, were all really nice. I should've checked them out on Sat. night- but didn't get the chance to.
