Hey, yeah. Sylvian's been at it forever and I still think Secrets Of The Beehive is his crowning achievement, but any chance to praise a man who gets ignored a lot is fine with me.

I agree with many already stated (TVOTR, Decemberists, Strokes)

others:

Dressy Bessy (one of my favorite bands as it is but they're super hardworking and their records are consistently brilliant)

Cornershop (although I think their current peak is mid 90s, Handcream overall is an uptick from 7th Time)

Sleater-Kinney (if you remove One Beat anyway, each album was better than the previous)

Circulatory System (I have a feeling their album next year will be amazing--the debut was extremely solid)

Raveonettes (love both the EP and the full-length--they'll probably be even better when they start switching keys)

Then you've got bands like Gomez and Electrelane--bands that have frustrated me b/c I don't think they're close to reaching what they could do.
