This is a cool venue. It's a converted house that was the birthplace of the man who invented the tommy gun. There's an historical landmark sign out front and everything.

These guys sound like Talking Heads with the Stellastarr* bass player and a splash of Arcade Fire for the 'not polished' sound.

one of my friends just emailed me asking if i wanted to go to the chicago show. i've liked what i've heard of both, but am not on either bandwagon. we'll see what happens in the next month and a half.
