MF'er was yelling and pointing fingers at congressman denying he used steroids..

MLB just confirmed it....

screw him and his porn mustache.

Image"Good morning, Mr. Chairman and members of the committee. My name is Rafael Palmeiro and I am a professional baseball player. I'll be brief in my remarks today. Let me start by telling you this: I have never used steroids. Period. I don't know how to say it any more clearly than that. Never. The reference to me in Mr. Canseco's book is absolutely false. I am against the use of steroids. I don't think athletes should use steroids and I don't think our kids should use them. That point of view is one, unfortunately, that is not shared by our former colleague, Jose Canseco. Mr. Canseco is an unashamed advocate for increased steroid use by all athletes."

NEW YORK (SI.com) -- Rafael Palmeiro, who last month became the fourth member of baseball's 3,000-hit, 500-home run club, tested positive for steroids, SI.com's Tom Verducci has confirmed.

The penalty for a first offense under baseball's drug-testing plan is a 10-day suspension.

People are saying it was a few weeks ago he tested positive, but they waited till after the HOF Ceremony this weekend, to avoid ruining it....so they waited till today, to release the results....

Think that explains why they tried to make the deal for Phil Nevin?

He should just retire. Fuck the suspension.

I wasnt online when I heard this on the radio, but I immediately called the Senator and asked him if he wanted to know who the DUMBEST MOTHERFUCKER IN AMERICA was? He guessed Haq, but got it on the second guess.

Anyways, forget about that Hall of Fame debate on this guy. Buh bye, dick.

In remarks prepared for a conference call Monday, Palmeiro said he had accepted his punishment and could not explain how the steroids got into his body.

"I have never intentionally used steroids. Never. Ever. Period," he said. "Ultimately, although I never intentionally put a banned substance into my body, the independent arbitrator ruled that I had to be suspended under the terms of the program."

Crock of shit. So it's the arbitrator's fault. Fuck you.

"could not explain how the steroids got into his body." I'm guessing he drank some milk two days after the date on the carton, or maybe he stepped on a rusty bottle cap. Oh shit, I hope I don't accidentally have steroids in my system!

There was some sports writer talking on tv about Palmeiro's 3,000 hits & whether or not he's HOF material. And he gets up on his soapbox & says no player from this generation is a first ballot because of 'roids & they're all suspect blah blah blah... but otherwise Palmeiro is HOF material. And I'm thinking come on you're not gonna vote Gwynn first ballot because of McGwire, Bonds & Canseco? That's crazy. But I guess this pushes the entire generation one step closer to that theory. I apologise to that writer.

On a side note: 18 inning games suck. I always thought it was a waste to go that long to decide 1 measily game in a 164 game season. Now after seeing the Angels hand 2 to the Yanks they had no business losing I'm pissed. And I see the BJ's have lost 2 of 3 since then too.

And the funny thing is I got the TSN.ca feed of the NHL draft on the internet & one of the guys covering it did the 18 inning game too. During commercial breaks sometimes we'd still get audio & you could hear him talking shit about baseball to Sidney Crosby who he was about to interview. "it's all numbers & streaks.... it was horrible the game lasted so long, longest game of the season & I had to do it"

Wow, the first major player to test positive. I hope this becomes a trend.

It's funny, cause the other day, the guys on ESPN were discussing how Palmeiro's career would be affected by the fact that he played during the Steroid Era. They all felt awful for him that he would be lumped into that crowd.

This must be what they call irony.

Considering Ryno's marriage situation following his first retirement, I wouldn't call him class. He's just not an addict.

Ooooh. Not being an addict. What a feat.

I'm coming around to Chris' "fuck all these guys" point of view.

I know that McGwire got close to the Maris family as he made his run at the single season record and I wonder what they're thinking now.

Somewhere Mark McGwire is laughing.
