"The Funkadelics - Early Singles (1962-67)"
Or something like that.
I have it on vinyl, but no working turntable any longer.
Can't find a pictire of the cover anywhere, but it features the band members, looking VERY clean-cut, wearing what look like High School letter sweaters – the picture is a monochrome yellow, with a red field above it that contains the album title.
Anyway, it's essentially a bootleg, but an amazing collection:
Early,
early,
EARLY versions of "Testify", "I Call My Baby Pussycat", "Red Hot Mama", "The Goose That Laid the Golden Egg", and a lot more.
Very hard to find. When I finally did come across it in a record store back about 11-12 years ago, I literally danced around the store, holding it over my head.
I gotta get this fucker burned to CD, because I miss it so much.
Anyone else heard this? Hear of it?
EDIT:
It is NOT this album:
or this one either:
