yeah, i've had kinda bad luck lately. The last 3 interviews that I've had went great, but each one told me midway that they "didn't have anything available now, but hope to really soon." The first time was a surprise, the 2nd time was an annoyance, the 3rd time made me want to flip the table over and strangle a muthafucka. But I believe that this time there is actually an available spot.

The key is the ability to bullshit. Just tell them what they want to hear. If you sound like you know what you're talking about most people will believe you.

I'm not too worried about the interview per se, I think I interview just fine. It's just this whole streak of going on interviews for spots that don't exist that concerns me. Either way, I'll be more prepared for this one than any other one.

what kind of gig is it for?

the title is 'research editor' and it's for this publisher of trade magazines downtown. I think another reason why I'm so worked up about this is because this has been the first one where I am actually really interested and excited about getting it.
