FT started a thread about thise awhile ago. i don't get it.

and shiv, you really think jason lee has anything left in him (other than l. ron hubbard's dead cock)? Unless spike jonze is holding the camera 15 years ago or kevin smith is writing the dialogue for him 9 years ago i'm not holiding out for too much.

You're welcome.

I'll save, some of the smartasses on the board, the trouble of commenting on the lovefest.

By the way, the premise of the pilot episode is that they realize they have no non-white friends, and go to Temple University to try and find some. :D

Did anyone else watch these? Both first episodes were excellent, especially Starved. I'm not a big TV watcher other than South Park, but I'll definitely be keeping up wtih these two shows for a while.

Yeah, I also thought they were both great. It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia had more laugh-out-loud moments, but Starved has more interesting characters and is edgier. Both merit continued viewing.

Yeah, it seems a bit early to introduce the "salvation" character for a series on the decline (like Roy on the simpsons), but from what I heard the guys were pretty much starstruck that he was willing to do it at all.

one of the funniest shows I've seen in a while, can't wait to watch this tonight.

The episode about picking up chicks at abortion rallys had me on the floor. Sure, the premise has been in several jokes, but seeing it played out was brilliant.

I thought DeVito was already a producer on the show anyway. It makes sense to bring him in with the type of humor that was going on in the first season.

I grew up in the Philly region and used to hang out down around where the bar is supposed to be - it's pretty dead on with the Philly references and the vibe of the show. My wife grew up in Upper Darby and commented how the main characters are pretty the sort of people who she went to high school with. It's like they got older and filmed a documentary with a laugh track.

I'm pretty excited to see the 2nd season.

Yeah, this is the highlight of my TV Summer! For those who have never seen it, iTunes has a free download available of one of the best episodes from last season, called "Underage Drinking." Probably the second funniest episode, after "Charlie Gets Molested."

those are probably my two least favorite, not surprisingly. My wife grew up with Charlie Day, so don't let these fuckers fool you that they're all from philly or something.
