This will be brilliant if/when it goes through! You'll be able to download your Netflix queue right to your Tivo and watch it instantly instead of having to wait for discs in the mail.

If and when this happens, I WILL be purchasing a Tivo. I've waited long enough. This madness ends NOW!

Sweet. Soon, HDTV will go the way of SACD and DVD-A, DVD-V will go the way of CD, mpeg will go the way of MP3, and the MPAA will go the way of the RIAA.

Hey, Cotton, quote this:Cotton is a wee-wee head.

i'm kinda surprised you'd think i wouldn't. i've slacked on my blowing up mini-phrases, but only because the ones i've seen have been so self-depreciating that it's not really worth anyone's time.

Yeah, sorry, I thought if I put it in the sig, you wouldn't be able to quote it...don't think of it as a challenge, think of it as an easter egg.

Oh, and it's self-deprecating, not depreciating. Although they are lowering their own worth, are they not, so perhaps you are correct.

A quick note from Cap'n Obvious, to the would-be blower-uppers of Dusty's many tiny posts:

A quick way to see the text, be it in the post or the sig, is to highlight it as it appears in the post, and then paste it in the Quick Reply box. A quicker way would be to not shrink it in the first place.

I've been a Netflix subscriber for a long time and just yesterday got the Comcast DVR box hooked up. Sort of a TiVo type thingy. I was enjoying programming all my shows last night. Now I don't have to stay up late for fear of missing something.

I like the idea of combining the two. It is what On Demand should be. I get to pick what to watch and when to watch. Currently Comcast controls the what , and I only get to say when. So far I haven't been very happy with the On Demand material.

btw, found out from a friend who works at TiVo that this may not work with DirecTV subscribers (which I am)... at least not immediately.
