I'm EXTREMELY partial to Decoration Day so I'd choose:

Sink Hole

then

Heathens

Prove me wrong. Keep in mind though, I'm Pure County.

Southern Rock Opera and the Dirty South are better.

Nice job of not actually recommending songs and only bagging on what I like.

jesus christ. i'm honestly not trying to constantly stick up for him, but did he even criticize what you liked, in any way? if you would take a moment to reread his post, he merely stated his opinion on what albums he thought were best.
everyone needs to stop acting like such a victim, he's really not as much of an asshole as much of you would like to think.

Oh Jesus Christ. Will you dickholes shut the fuck up with this "bagging on people" shit? I'm not out to get anyone, believe it or not..

If you really need to know good songs to check out because you can't buy the albums for yourself and form your own opinions, then go with:

Tornadoes
Carl Perkins' Cadillac
Danko/Manuel
Goddamn Lonely Love
The Three Great Alabama Icons
Ronnie and Neil
etc.

*ahem*

I'd probably add Danko/Manuel to this as well.

This song clearly says "Godamnned Reagan" is in the White House "While over there in Huntsville, they're putting people on the moon".

Wrong! The last moon landing was in 1972 under the Nixon administration. Dumb ass Southerners!

Actually for the record my favourite is 'Sands Of Iwo Jima' since it's lyrics remind me of my war hero Granddad plus it probably takes a lot of effort to sing that strained.

Solid list, though I don't get all the love for Danko/Manuel. Its a good song but.......maybe its just a little too creepy for me.

Pretty funny too that there are more Stroker Ace or Isbell songs on most folks lists. Sorry Patterson.

I'd go with:

Women Without Whiskey
Marry Me
Shut Up & Get On The Plane
Outfit
Something's Gotta Give Pretty Soon
Where The Devil Don't Stay

that Three Great Alabama Icons/Wallace combo is pretty great as well

I own all their albums I just haven't gotten into The Dirty South or Southern Rock Opera as much. Has nothing to do with liking or disliking I just haven't had time to give the other two the attention they deserve so I was asking for a starting point.

Your posts sometimes make you sound like you're condescending. Nothing personal. Sorry I might have been too sensitive.<---Not sarcasm.
