I'm back after a long time away. I've been mad travelling for my job and had a little vacation built in. In addition, I've had a bit of self imposed exile from here as I felt like a big ole asshat for the way I was presenting myself to people and needed a bit of time to reassess some things. Moxie pointed some of this stuff out and I cannnot thank him enough for doing so. I've been learning a bit about myself, some good, some bad & I feel much better.

Not surprisingly, this hasn't just been limited to this board. I have been running at about 300 MPH for the last year or so and I have a problem of not recognizing how other people perceive me and it was pretty shocking for me that even Balls/Jimmy who are anonymous faces of me to other anonymous names on the internet was coming across like Anthony the person.

Anyway, enough of the soap opera I'm back and glad to be back. I hope anyone out there who considered me a bit of a prick gives me another chance.

Sincerely,
Anthony

Welcome back homey.

No worries. I never feel like my online persona matches up with the real me. It's just part of it.

Although I have a suspicion that the Senator's persona actually does match the real person. Which is scary and awesome at the same time.

Welcome back, Anthony. I've never had a problem with you, and don't even recall any prickish behavior on your part. Still, self-evaluation is always a good exercise. Of course, the ones who need it the most are those who never actually do it. Glad you have returned to the fold!

I was in Chicago, but family commitment overruled musical enjoyment. I was the only one that wanted to go, and although it was an exercise, I chose to go along with what everyone else wanted to do and enjoyed my time with my wife's brother and friends instead of acting like a jackass and forcing the issue.

Big part of the (hopefully) improved me happened during the Chicago visit.

So there's people you don't want to meet?

Welcome back, dude.

I never really had any idea of what Moxie was talking about when he made those comments.

Moxie was drunk...let's talk shit about him! ;)

I too don't know what this behaviour you speak of is about, but who cares? You're back and in the swing of things! So, where did you go while on holiday? Anywhere fun?

Wrong thread dude-

I just needed some time away to work some stuff out in my head that seemed to be pervading my entire life. I am in a much better place now and can get back to having fun on this board.

Since the "I'm leaving for a while" threads seem to always invoke a big sheetstorm, I just stepped away quietly for a bit.

I thought Jimmy Stripe could be an ass (not much more than anyone else) but never had much of a problem and was hoping to meet him and others at this years Sasquatch.

Welcome back. Love the NW contingent.

Does Jimmy Stripe go by a different name or is he just gone?
