neuroboy pointed me to http://krazydad.com/colrpickr/ which is also sweet, but is only related in that in uses flickr.

I tried downloading some of these images, and all I get is blank white space. Are they copy protected? And if so, does anyone know a way around that?

I think they're hiding the image behind invisible images or something, so that you actually right click on a differnet image when you try to save it.

To access the image, you have to find the URL to the image in the page's source.

View source. Then search for the word "photoImgDiv". On the next line or so you'll find the image's URL, in a tag that looks like:
