I wanna be watching this time, I missed the Challenger and the last one.

Well, only Challenger's external tank exploded, with breakup of the orbiter occuring because of that. Columbia merely broke up due to loss of structural integrity. As for this time, you've lost the opportunity to see it explode, sorry. The orbiter's only carrying a relatively small amount of flammable products at this point (for the de-orbit burn early Monday, and an even smaller amount for reaction control jets.) All that could happen now is another breakup upon reentry, which begins with the de-orbit burn) at about 3:45 Monday morning (EDT,) with landing at about 4:45 am. The best you can hope for is another shower of super-heated (by atmospheric friction) debris.

There's always the Russian sub, although, that probably won't be as visually appealing.

Gosh, one can hope!

I think that was the public's big disappointment with the Challenger accident. The Apollo 1 cabin fire really set a high standard for spacecraft-disasters (especially for a first-time incident!) and while the Challenger accident had a really spectacular visual component, there just weren't enough charred human remains to make it really worthwhile (the crew was not burned, reportedly, but three were alive at least long enough to turn on their auxilary air supply. The crew, at least a few members, may have died not necessarily from the exploding external tank but from impact with the ocean's surface at a couple hundred miles an hour. How's that for depressing?) NASA made sure to go all out with Columbia. We got both the spectacular visual treat (the meteor-shower like rain of flaming debris) AND crisped bodies! Now that's a bargain!

(Iactually made myself a little ill and disgusted writing that up.)

They all survived.

I bet that pretty-boy captain got torpedoed regularly, though...
