If so, which ones do you use?

Mine:

mini-calendar
mini-weather
BBC radio tuner
digg.com news feed
what to do

i keep them all in the tidy WidgetDock, and access them when I need them.

If you're not familiar with widgets, you should be: http://www.konfabulator.com

Does running these put much drain on your system resources? I've thought about trying these out but I hate having a ton of little things sucking up memory.

Love 'em. Just use weather, clock and iTunes.

I like apple's version best since you hide them much easier.

one thing that drives me up the wall is that no one has developed a decent one for movie schedules.

OK, so based on my discovery of the KEXP widget, here's how my np: habits will permanently change...

1. Run the iTunes widget on Party Shuffle.
2. Run the KEXP widget with KEXP playing on Windows Media Player (minimized to toolbar size).
3. Play iTunes with Windows Media Player on mute until something I want to hear pops up on the KEXP widget, then pause iTunes and un-mute Windows Media Player.
4. When something comes on KEXP I don't want to hear, re-mute Windows Media Player and un-pause iTunes.

It's not as complicated as it sounds...I promise!
