I'd really recommend the Micah P. Hinson record that tentoze turned me on to this weekend.

I'd recommend Fog's "10th Avenue Freakout", but that's not a sure fire win.

Yeah, Fog definitely sounds like something I'd dig.

are you talking about Midnight in the Nail Polish Factory? Because I didn't like that one at all and I think this one is miles better.

Actually, I don't know. I heard a few songs from mixes that people from the board sent me, maybe two years ago, and I wasn't too crazy about it. It's decent I suppose.

silversun pickups - pikkul ep

i know tania mentioned them before, and they're one of my favorite current local bands... i picked up the ep the other day and i'm definitely diggin it.

also, might i add:
WOLF PARADE.

not sure what my top 10 would be yet...

I'm surprised anyone would recommend this. I thought it blew donkeys.

YESSSSSSSS! Glad people here are finally pickin' up on them...

Of not-yet-mentioned stuff, I'd suggest the new Pelican, Superwolf (will def. be in my top 10), Black Mountain (totally crept up on me), Foriegn Born, Red Sparowes, and (lest anyone forget) that ultimate grower known as Cold Roses by Mr. Ryan Adams and the Cardinals...

I listened to it yesterday for the first time in a few weeks, and it's even better than I remembered...and I thought it was pretty good to begin with. This might just haul off and crack my Top 10 at the end of the year.
