at first I thought this was a really easy question, but...shit it's not. I threw Best Defense in there for all you Dudley Moore fanatics. all of them.

obviously his standup is not included here.

Coming to America. There are too many classic moments in that movie.

The rip-off of McD's. Louie Anderson's loser character. Soulglow.

See, I thought just the opposite. But when I finally looked at the list, I realized only 48 HRS. is great, with Trading Places being fairly decent. The rest all suck. He just might have peaked on SNL.

i thought about throwing Boomerang up here, but that movie blew. at least Bowfinger had the rampant swipes at scientology.

Bob, lay of the Image

The answer to this is Beverly Hills Cop, just because he is in full on suave Eddie, get away with anything mode.

Followed closely by Trading Spaces and Coming to America.
They are equally as funny, but EDDIE is better in CTA, because of all the parts he plays.

Eddie's contrast with Nolte alone made me vote for 48 Hours. that and "ROOOOOOOOXAAAAAAAAANNNNNE"

I almost voted for that just because it has one of my favorite lines of all time: "Beef jerky time!"

OK, I'll admit Coming to America certainly does not suck -- that was an oversight on my part. But let's face facts, people...the Beverly Hills Cop films have not aged well. They were OK back in the '80s, but like Ghostbusters, now reek of The Me Decade with little residual humor left to show for it.

God, I feel so Radcliffe today!

I think we all know that this movie even merits a vote because the Dukes ruin 2 dude's lives over $1...that and what is said in teh bathroom when Ed is getting "wet." (Cos if you think that's just a joint, you know NOTHING about Ed)

Beverly Hills Cop. Though I do like Trading Places, 48 Hours and (not included in this poll) The Distinguished Gentleman.

Trading Places...simply for the appearance of Jamie Lee Curtis's boobies.
