I just wanna sit down and weep like the indian on the side of the road, lookin at garbage. Cuz there are some things kids just don't get over, you know? Those runts don't stand a chance.

My neighbors, for example, don't depress me. Hell, one of 'em offered me some eerily on-point advice about my motorcycle as he stumbled past my driveway last week:

I know what you mean. Around here there is a high concentration of said people in Dulac. But these people are a mix of whites, blacks, and Houmas Indians. It's really sad. So I guess they're not white trash. People unkindly refer to them as "Sabines." They've applied for Native American status several times but their bloodlines are too intermixed to be recognized.
