I'll give "Anyway You Want It" an okay, but if anyone thinks that song is listenable for any reason other than Caddyshack you're extremely high. or not high enough.

We used it as our entrance song as we were intro'd at our reception. We fucking love that song.

So you can kiss my lily-white ass Cotton. :ass:

Journey fucking disgusts me.

"Wheel in the Sky" makes me want to get curb stomped.

I agree with everything said that opposes Journey. One of my least-favorite bands of all time. I do, however, like them better than Foreigner.

Seriously, how does one come to hate Journey?

Cheesy? Sure. But Terrible? No way. They are fucking beyond awesome.

I can abide most Journey, but "Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)" makes me want to get curb stomped, and the video for that song makes me want to have my eyes gouged out WHILE being curb stomped.

I can barely recall the video for Separate Ways, but I seem to remember them on a tour bus and a lot of this visual:

While I can't claim to have any Journey, I can't say I hate them and for better or worse a bunch of their songs will get my head bobbing.

Their videogame did suck, however.

In the words of my roughneck mullet wearing air brushing uncle when he gave me a journey cd for christmas when I was twelve, " Now you can finally listen to some GOOD music, and not that REM crap."

I've never willingly listened to Journey or Steve Perry but there is a very soft spot in my heart for Oh Sherry. Definite karoke choice for me.

aww well you're just a hard bitten indie snob that's what you are. :P

And I don't love everything but jesus guys, they're fun music and if you're old enough(like me) then I'm sure one of their songs brings back some memory from childhood/growing up.

No, that was "Faithfully." The "Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)" video was just them playing air instruments on a wharf while decked out in the latest sleeveless OP attire.

Journey were good at what they did, which was cranking out radio/arena rock. That was tunesmithery, dammit.

Even worse was the Atari 2600 version, which I owned until just recently.

Generally, cotton pants, your taste in cheese is fine. But in this case, you're kidding yourself. There's some fine fine material here, and denying yourself the pleasure benefits no one.
